Outdoor bowling at its best! Open year round, our full size eight rink, all-weather surface looks onto a stunning panorama of olive groves and citrus trees with the beautiful Sierra de Míjas mountains and Guadalhorce Valley as a backdrop.   Aside from the bowls club facilities’, the Lauro Golf Resort has accommodation (to rent and for sale), fully licensed bars and restaurants (open all day), 27 holes of golf, putting green, golf academy and driving range, 'padel' tennis and a nearby equestrian centre all surrounded by acre upon acre of beautiful countryside and national forest. Unlike the busy costa clubs, we have no traffic jams, plenty of onsite parking (including for coaches). There’s easy access to the rink, too.
Being a new club, we welcome new members - and whether you are an old hand or a new bowler you will be made very welcome here. Coaching is available and free of charge for beginners. In addition, we are always interested to hear from touring sides or other clubs looking to arrange fixtures. Clubs wishing to visit can do so by via a bowls tour specialists (e.g. Jack High) or by contacting us directly. Membership and fees A full annual membership costs 320€ (six months - 210€). PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE IN INSTALMENTS, 70 EUROS FIRST PAYMENT AND 5 MORE OF 50 EUROS EACH MONTH Temporary membership 120€ for three months or 50€ for one month. Equipment hireWe have a range of equipment available for hire from the bowls pavilion. Shoes: 2€ per game Pay and playWhy not give bowls a try and see how you get on? You don't have to be a member - just roll up and play. Cost for pay and play is 7€ per game (usually 2 to 2.5 hours). Members of other bowls clubs on the coast can come and play for 5 euros per session. Playing scheduleThe club is open seven days per week... 10 till 2 pm WINTER TIMES START 26th sept Members: Club days - Tuesday and Thursday, 17:30 for 18:00 start in summer and 13:30 for 14:00 start in winter. Also on Sunday, 10:00 for 10:30 start. Non-members: Visitors and spectators are welcome at any time. We have recently added a covered area with seating for 30 people, to enjoy drinks after the bowling.  |
